Just writing a little post to share with you a piece I made for a lovely customer earlier this summer. She loved it so much that she ordered one for her best friends birthday too. It’s one of those pieces I feel I can’t take that much credit for though as the true beauty of this necklace lies in the transfixing glow of the amazonite stone. I’ve not been that drawn to this gemstone in the past but this selection of premium quality amazonite I got on my recent stay in Pushkar completely mesmerised me. The luminosity of these stones takes me immediately to some fantasy island with the brightest sky and the clearest blue waters. It’s basically a holiday in a gemstone! It’s a gemstone that has been treasured since ancient times and it’s not surprising. You can find lots of writings online about it’s purported metaphysical properties but I just know that gazing pon this beauty has a palpable effect on my state of mind. For me, it’s a stone of calming positivity and brings about that state of simple contentment that the first weeks of summer fill you with. And I always want to be reminded of those blessed weeks of the year.
