More Gem Shopping In Jaipur!!

I’m off on my travels at the end of February. Going to soak up the peace and mayhem of India for 4 weeks. This is a MUCH needed break and one I hope will give my frazzled noggin the reset it needs. I’m sure it will. India holds a special power over me and always seems to give me exactly what I need. Most of my trip will be spent being all zen and in-the-moment (hopefully!) in my favourite holy town of Pushkar and another very special spiritual spot, Omkareshwar. Then, for my last 5 days, I will zoom around Jaipur like a gem-crazed loon getting dizzy over all of the candy-coloured beauties i find and crying into my chai because I can’t afford to buy them ALL!!!

Technicolour tourmaline….my absolute favourite

The last time I was in Jaipur, I bought a lovely selection of stones that I planned to make some beautiful pieces with. Man plans, God laughs eh?! Oh the plans I have, oh the designs my sketchbooks are filled with! I’m still finding my feet when it comes to running my own business full time and also finding time to make new pieces. I’m getting there slowly. It’s been a busy year with orders, which is amazing, but I need to learn how to manage my time so I can also make time to realise all of the new designs I’ve sketched out too. It was a tough year personally so I also let myself be as slow as I needed to be when it came to work. I planned on having the pieces below finished before Christmas but they’ll hopefully be coming in the next couple of weeks, just before I go away! I’m so in love with the stones chrysoprase (the green one) and pink opal, so I’ll be hunting down some more of those in Jaipur.

New pieces coming very soon!! (Fingers crossed!)

Last time I was in Jaipur, I picked up a couple of stunning stones for two different commissions for customers. Is there something you’d like made by me? Please do get in touch if you’d like me to source a special stone for you. The choice out there is breathtaking. Most stones can be sourced in Jaipur as it’s still one of the main centres in the world for gem cutting. So let me know what your dream stone is and I’ll see what I can find for you. It felt really special to hunt down the most gorgeous pink tourmaline for a customers anniversary ring last time I was out there.
